I was talking about a flickr interface before - basically what it does it allow you to make your own collection of images from flickr (you or kids can do this). Another program then lets you use these in nice ways (this is still to come). If you fancy the search interface, you can test it out here (sorry it’s not finished):

Lost track of you following your move, got you in my sight (feeds) again.
This looks very sweet indeed, congratulations.
Are the images all creative commons licensed? I would be handy to pull the license info in at some point. I think we need to teach children to give credit when they are say blogging with images.
I am looking forward to see how the galleries are going to be organised. Are they going to be on site? Another interesting option might be for users to be able to build small static sites with their images that could be zipped and downloaded for deployment in school. (These could contain copyright info etc).
Anyway great stuff, please keep us posted.

The latter suggestion is one i think I’ll do first - useful for me, and no doubt for others.
there’s a Creative Commons filter, and you can get the copyright info too. I’ve just not bothered with it. I’m putting aside some time to do more on this though, as I think it could be useful - even if just (at the moment) for teachers to make image packs.

Sounds good.
The problem with the flickr api the last time i played with it (somewhat more amateurish than your stuff) was you can only search for 1 license type per call, so I needed a few calls to get all the cc licensed photos.
but the pack idea has the advantage I can create a pack at home and then take it into school, which gets round lots of filter problems.
